Management

Hospital Purchasing/Materials Manager: Manages staff and routine operations of the Materials Management department to include the procurement, processing and distribution and inventory processes. Assists department managers in maintaining appropriate inventory levels and storage.  Assures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies and hospital policies.

 

Registered Nurse

Charge Nurse – Surgical Services:  Full-time, days with call.  2-5 years surgical experience in a hospital or surgery center setting. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS required.  Prior supervisory/charge experience and AORN preferred.

Critical Care: Full-time and PRN, days and nights. 2-5 years ICU experience and ACLS required, CCRN preferred. Must be competent in the care of pulmonary, diabetic, heart cath and critical care patients.

Surgery: Full-time, days. 2 years of circulating experience in orthopedics, spine and ENT procedures preferred.

Pre-Op/PACU: Full-time, days with call. 2 years experience in PACU or ICU required. Must be competent in care of pre-op and post-op orthopedics, ENT and spine patients. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS required.

Medical Surgical/Telemetry: Full-time and PRN, days and nights. 2 years acute care telemetry or critical care experience required.

Medical Detox Unit: Full-time, all shifts. One year experience with a substance abuse population and/or detox unit. Current Texas RN license and current BLS required.

LVN- Medical Detox Unit: Full-time, all shifts. One year experience with a substance abuse population and/or detox unit. Current Texas LVN license (or higher or equivalent license) and current BLS required.

 

Allied Health

Physical Therapist: PRN, weekend days.  Inpatient therapy/acute care ortho experience preferred. Texas license and BLS required.

Nuclear Med/Rad Tech:  Full-time, days and PRN with call.  ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB with a 3-5 years acute care hospital experience required.  Proficient in all areas of nuclear medicine imaging including nuclear cardiology.  Prefer multi-modality experience.

CT/Rad Tech: Full-time, days and full-time, weekends. ARRT, MRT with 3 years experience in an acute care setting required. Proficient in CT and diagnostic imaging procedures. Able to perform with little or no supervision.

Ultrasound Technologist: PRN, with call. RDMS to include RVT/RVS with 3 years experience in an acute care setting performing routine and emergent diagnostic general and vascular ultrasounds required. Current BLS required.

MLT or MT:  Full-time, nights and PRN. Generalist with 3 years’ experience in an acute care laboratory required.  MT/MLT required.  ASCP certified or equivalent.

Social Worker: PRN, with call. 2-3 years acute care experience in a hospital setting required. Knowledge of discharge planning, psychiatric assessment and referrals, assessment of patient and family needs, social services planning and referrals to appropriate agencies and facilities required. LMSW preferred.

Support

Purchasing Coordinator: Full-time, days. High school degree or equivalent. 3 years’ experience in a hospital materials management setting required. Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word required. Healthcare inventory management and periodic cycle counts experience preferred. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Insurance Verifier: Full-time, days.  One year experience with medical insurance benefit verification and insurance payer precertification/authorization requirements required.     Extensive knowledge of government and commercial insurance payment polices and requirements essential.  Familiarity with diagnostic and/or surgical procedures in a hospital setting required.

Coder: Full-time, days.  Telecommute option available.  RHIA and CCS certification and 4-5 years inpatient/obs, orthopedic and spine coding experience required.  Gender reassignment experience a plus.  Must have the ability to review inpatient records to verify/substantiate diagnosis/procedures and to abstract medical information.  Ability to communicate with physician to obtain or clarify diagnosis.

HIM Specialist: Full-time, days.  High school graduate or equivalent.  1 year experience in a clinical or hospital medical records department required.  RHIT or RHIA preferred. Strong process management skills with experience in auditing charts a plus.  Must be able to communicate appropriately with the public and with all levels of hospital staff.

Sterile Processing Technician:  Full-time, days and evenings with rotating call.  1 year experience working in central sterile environment with knowledge of instrumentation, surgical supplies and sterile operations required.  Scrub tech experience preferred.

Patient Care Tech-Med/Surg: Full-time, days and night and PRN. 2 years’ experience as a patient care provider in an acute care setting required. Excellent computer skills required. CNA/MA or EMT and BLS required.

Registrar: Full-time, evenings. One year patient admitting/registration experience required. Knowledge of insurance payers and benefits/eligibility verification, Ability to prioritize work with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure.

Nutrition Department Supervisor: Full-time, supervisor position responsible for supervising the day to day operations of our Nutrition Services department, ordering and inventory, and supervising kitchen staff. High school degree and 3 years of food service experience required. Food Manager Certificate and Culinary Certificate preferred.

Cook: Full-time, days. High school degree or equivalent. 2 years scratch cooking experience required with strong culinary background. Must have an understanding of HCCP rules and requirements. Hospital/healthcare experience a plus.

Surgical Attendant:  Part-time, days.  High school diploma or equivalent and BLS required.  1 year experience in an operating room environment preferred.  Must be organized and flexible. CNA preferred.
